The big difference here is being able to download music that you like, then store it on your PS3's hard drive. Sure, it had big titles by big artists such as Hey Ya! By Outkast, but who the heck are The Zutons? It's simple.Īmong the 30 tracks provided with the game are songs by artists such as Blink 182 (All the Small Things), Musical Youth (Pass the Duchie), REM (Losing my Religion) and The Killers (Mr Brightside), but to be honest, I was pretty disappointed by the calibre of some of the songs. Sony knows when it's onto a money maker and SingStar would be one of its biggest of the bunch, so it makes sense to release a version for its latest console - the PS3 - and then let you download songs from the PlayStation Network to make your own personalised playlists.įundamentally, SingStar for the PS3 differs little from the SingStars you'll find on the PlayStation 2: get a group of friends together, plug in a microphone or two, select your track and start singing.
